Fly Fishing & Hatch Reports- Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing & More

Lots of mixed reports this past week.  Some spots have been very bug-heavy with lots of rising fish. Others have been mostly a nymphing game. 

March brown hatches have been heavier in the afternoons and slower pools had more rising fish.  Some rain today, but Pine is still dropping slowly. 

Anglers noted strong hatches most of the afternoon and conditions are excellent right now. 

Fish were rising in the afternoon and took March Brown and Hendrickson Duns.  Clouds of caddis came off with few fish eating them.  Towards dark, trout keyed in on spent spinners and a rusty spinner worked well

Fish were rising in the afternoon and holding tight to feeding lanes.  Most seemed keyed in on emergers, but would take a big March Brown when they floated by.

Caddis imitations, parachute hendricksons, hendrickson nymphs, and an assortment of other nymphs are catching fish. March Browns coming soon!
