Pictured- Mike Haraschak with a nice Pine Creek Brown- Gaines area

Water Conditions- Clear

Cedar Run USGS Gauge- 3:30PM- 1.96ft

Water Temp - 57-65

Hatches- tan caddis (14-16),  bwo (18), Green Drake (10), Sulphur (14-16), Yellow Sally (14-16), Light Cahill (12-14), Brown Drake (10) Isonychia (12)

What's Working?

Dry flies have been effective all week with good water levels and tons of bugs.  Slower pools and riffles have seen the most surface action.  Faster runs have been better with nymphs.  Dry-Dry or Dry-Dropper combos have been a good bet.

Other notes-

Pine is running clear and starting to get low.  Temperatures are rising too.  Cool nights should help keep temperatures favorable for the coming weekend.  We have done best fishing a drake pattern, or large march brown trailing a sulphur pattern (dry or emerger).  Nymphing with sulphur nymphs in deeper runs has also been effective.

Drakes are scattered with mixed reports throughout Pine.  Anglers noted good green drake hatches around Tiadaghton last night, though we've seen only small hatches through the Keystone stretch and upper pine.  Brown drake hatches have been a little more prominent.  Slate Drakes (Isonychias) are starting to show up too.
