Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Retail Associates. If you love fishing and enjoy helping others, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As a Retail Associate, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide knowledgeable advice on fishing gear, tackle, and accessories
- Assist in educational programs
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Count and care for live baits
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise
- Assist with packing and shipping online orders
- Stay informed about the latest fishing trends and products
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards
Requirements:
- Passion for fishing and knowledge of fishing products and equipment
- Knowledge of local fisheries and waterways
- Willingness to learn new fishing skills and methods
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
