Guide Services
Tackle Shack offers licensed guide services for fishing Upper Pine Creek and surrounding waterways in/around Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Walk and wade, full or half day, formats are available for trout, smallmouth bass, and more. We offer a friendly and knowledgeable service that will focus on education to help you become a better angler.
- Full Day (8 hours) - $425
- Half Day (4 hours) - $275
Trips are limited to 1-2 clients – No 3rd angler. This is to ensure we can provide the best possible experience.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
For all guide trips, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and the balance is due prior to the trip.
Any cancellation made within 14 days of the trip will not receive a refund of deposit
In the event of bad weather or other force majeure that would cause your trip to be canceled, we will be glad rebook your trip to another date or offer a full refund.
We want your fishing experience to be enjoyable and worthwhile and will not fish if conditions are not suitable.
Cancellation of trips due to weather is at the discretion of the guide, not the client.
What to Bring & Recommended Gear:
Current Pennsylvania Fishing License with Trout Stamp is REQUIRED!
Licenses can be purchased at Tackle Shack or online at www.huntfish.pa.gov
- Rain gear in case of inclement weather
- Rod, reel, line, flies*
- Equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. We are glad to make suggestions prior to your trip on proper gear for the outing.
- Wading equipment, including wading staff or stick, if needed
- Proper clothing for expected weather conditions
- Polarized sunglasses (highly recommended!)
- Sunscreen
- Any other equipment that is specific to your needs
- Snacks or beverages
- Camera
What’s Included
- Snacks and bottled water are included in the price of trips
- *If you have special dietary restraints/allergies or requests, please be sure to tell your guide when they contact you about the specifics of your trip.
- Rod, reel, line & flies.
- You are welcome to bring your own gear and flies as well. We are glad to make suggestions prior to your trip on proper gear for the outing and can help you learn to use your equipment more successfully.
Meeting Times & Places:
- Your guide will contact you several days before your trip to make specific arrangementsa.
- Guides will meet clients at Tackle Shack, or a pre-determined location as needed.
- Clients will be responsible for their own travel to and from the stream. This is required by our insurance policy.
Other:
Please inform your guide if you have any limitations or disabilities that limit your physical activity. We try our hardest to make the trips comfortable and enjoyable for all of our guests.
You are welcome to bring your own gear, but we cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or broken equipment while on a guide trip. All equipment can usually be provided and if you bring your own gear, it will be at your own risk.
