What's Working?

Anglers have been doing well on dry flies in the morning.  BWOs, Light Cahills and Slate drakes have made up most of the action. Pine is getting very warm in the afternoons and with heat in the mid to upper 80's expected all week, it would be best to target smallmouth and warm water species.  For these, try a small streamer or crayfish pattern.

Other notes-
Pine has good numbers of smallmouth throughout much of the Keystone select stretch and upstream.  They will willingly take poppers, crayfish patterns, and small streamers. Anglers may also encounter fallfish, rock bass, sunfish, and pickerel, particularly in some of the deeper holes.

Some rain is expected and cooler weather is forecasted next week.  This should help get temperatures back to more favorable levels for trout fishing.
