Anglers have been doing well on dry flies with rising fish throughout the day. Dry dropper setups are also working. BWOs in the morning. Cahills and Slate drakes in the afternoons/evenings have been best.

Pine is getting very warm in the afternoons and with heat in the mid to upper 80's expected all week, it would be best to target smallmouth and warm water species.
Cool nights should help keep temperatures favorable for the coming weekend. We have done best fishing a drake pattern, or large march brown trailing a sulphur pattern. Spectacular dry fly fishing in many areas!
Nymphs and streamers have been the best bet all week with elevated water levels. We expect to see more dry fly activity as conditions continue to improve
Lots of mixed reports this past week. Some spots have been very bug-heavy with lots of rising fish. Others have been mostly a nymphing game.
March brown hatches have been heavier in the afternoons and slower pools had more rising fish. Some rain today, but Pine is still dropping slowly.
Anglers noted strong hatches most of the afternoon and conditions are excellent right now.
Fish were rising in the afternoon and took March Brown and Hendrickson Duns. Clouds of caddis came off with few fish eating them. Towards dark, trout keyed in on spent spinners and a rusty spinner worked well
