Bass Season Opens this Saturday, June 13th.

Tioga and Hammond Lake Fishing Report-
Water temps are in the  high 60's to mid 70's and warm weather is expected for another couple days.  Crappies are mostly done spawning, though some are still being caught from shore. Bright sunny skies have made the mid day bite more challenging.  Structure in 10-15 feet has been productive for crappies.  Bass are being caught in a variety of places.  Shallower weed beds are holding fish, as are offshore spots. A few muskies have been caught too in similar areas.

Hammond Lake is officially under Panfish Enhancement Regulations.  Anglers may harvest 20 crappies measuring at least 9".   This only affects Hammond Lake.

Cowanesque Lake Fishing Report

Thank you to everyone that came out for the kid's fishing derby!  99 kids and their families came out to enjoy the day and a ton of fish were caught, including 3 carp over 25".  Fishing has been picking up here nicely with decent bass and panfish reports along the campground shoreline and the west end.  Jig, topwaters, and a variety of plastics were working.  Black/Blue jigs and senkos were among the most popular baits.  The CV League Tuesday night bass league tournaments kick off on Tuesday, 6/16 at Cowanesque.

Hills Creek Lake Fishing Report

Good bass reports came in all week on topwaters, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits.  Some bluegills and pumpkinseeds are still up shallow on beds too.

Hamilton & Beechwood Lake Fishing Report

Trout fishing has slowed considerably, but panfish are being caught in good numbers.  At hamilton, pumpkinseeds and some bass are still shallow on beds.  Weeds are starting to thicken up and the lake is a little low.  It's a great time to catch panfish on a fly rod.  Small poppers, foam ants, nymphs, and small streamers will all work.

Nessmuk Lake Fishing Report

Weedbeds are getting thick and access from shore is getting more limited.  Areas around the dock and along the dam are both fishable, while other areas are tough to fish with thick weed growth.  Redworms, waxworms, and nightcrawlers are working for bluegills and sunfish.  Topwater frog fishing across the weeds has been fun.  Bass are being caught on a variety of soft plastics, swimbaits, chatterbaits, and topwater.  Target weedlines and offshore structure.  Some bass are holding shallow along the shorelines too.

Pine Creek Fishing Report

Pine is running on low side and getting warm with temps in the high 60's to mid 70's.  Butter worms continue to be the favorite for live bait, and live minnows are also working.

There are plenty of fish in Pine Creek between state stockings and club stockings.

Tioga River Fishing Report

Anglers have been fishing the spillway regularly and catching a mixed bag of fish.  Some crappies and perch are being caught on small swimbaits, minnows, and jigs.   Some keeper sized walleyes and numerous smaller ones are being caught too, plus smallmouth and a few catfish.
