5/4/2026 Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing  & Hatch Report Rexford area

Water Conditions- Clear/Green

Cedar Run USGS Gauge- 4PM- 2.92ft

Water Temp - 54-55

Hatches- Green body/tan wing caddis (14-16), Hendrickson (12-14),  March Brown (10-12)

What's Working?

Fish were rising in the afternoon and took March Brown and Hendrickson Duns.  Clouds of caddis came off with few fish eating them.  Towards dark, trout keyed in on spent spinners and a rusty spinner worked well.  A 2 dry fly setup with a large March brown trailing a rusty spinner yielded hits on both.

Other notes-

Pine is in great shape, but rain is expected most of the week.  Check back for updates.
