4/16/2026 Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing & Hatch Report

4/16/2026 Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing & Hatch Report

Warm weather this past week helped kick off the hatches and anglers were greeted with rising fish in many stretches.  Rain these past few days has dirtied up the water, but Pine remains at fishable levels.  More rain is expected Saturday night and into Sunday with cold temps moving in Sunday/Monday.  We'll update again early next week.

Hatches included Tan caddis, little black stones, hendricksons (12-14), blue quills (16-18), and some quill gordons (12).

A variety of nymphs and small streamers are working well too.  Blow torches, pheasant tails, frenchies, egg patterns, squirmy worms, and more are catching fish.  Worm patterns are excellent in dirty water.  Make sure you have a few in your box.
