Weedless Neko Rigging with the VMC Finesse Neko Hook

The Neko Rig is without a doubt one of the most effective finesse techniques for bass. We like to fish them around weeds and structure, particularly artificial porcupine cribs and similar. One challenge though is that even 'weedless' style hooks with a guard can get hung up fairly easily in thick cover.

For a different look and a presentation that is more snag resistant, try the VMC Finesse Neko Hook

The adjustable fluorocarbon keeper helps keep the bait in place, and embedding the hook point in the plastic protects the hook point from snagging weeds and wood. This rigging works best with 5-7" worms. Vary hook size to match your favorite plastic.
