4/23/2026 Tioga County, Upper Pine Creek & Lyman Run Lake Fishing Report

4/23/2026

High water earlier in the week made for challenging water conditions on many of the stocked trout streams, including Pine Creek.  Anglers found better success on smaller waters using redworms, butterworms, live minnows, and a variety of spinners.  A number of streams have been restocked, including most of Pine Creek.  Water levels are still running a little high, but plenty fishable and clarity has greatly improved

Lyman Run lake has been a popular destination again this week with anglers doing best trolling small spinners or fishing powerbait from the banks.  Butterworms and waxworms are also working.

Crappie Fishing has been hit and miss across the county.  Snow/Cold weather on Monday/Tuesday dropepd water temps into the low 50's.  As it starts to warm up again, we should see the bite improve.  Anglers have had the best success on Hamilton, Beechwood, and Hills Creek.  Live minnows, trout magnets, and similar small soft plastics have been best.  Chartreuse, White, Green Pumpkin, and Orange were all working.  Look for this bite to improve as water temps start hitting 60 degrees.

Good luck out there.  Stop in and see us 7 days a week for all of your fishing needs.
