9/17/2026 Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing and Hatch Report

Water Conditions- Slight stain

Cedar Run USGS Gauge- 3:15PM- 1.98ft

Water Temp - low 60's to mid 60's

Hatches- Hoppers, ants, beetles, midges, tan caddis, slate drake, October caddis

What's Working?

Dry dropper rigs with October caddis trailing a nymph worked well. Also, streamer fishing has picked up some with the water levels improving

Other notes-

Pine has a very slight stain to it right now and rain showers are expected on and off all week. Anglers have been finding fair numbers of holdover trout throughout upper pine. Water temps are much more favorable now and areas with cool water tributaries or springs that provided good holding water in the summer are good places to target now. The Keystone Select stretch will be stocked again next month.
