In addition to being a fantastic float fishing rod, it is an exceptional surf and pier fishing rod for light bite species where subtle bite detection is necessary. The sensitive tip detects bait pickups off the bottom by coho, drum, and pompano while fishing from a pier or the surf. It's 13' length elevates the line off the water when using a surf fishing rod holder, and the slightest touch of the bait can be detected by the soft tip. The 10" rear grip fits perfectly in any surf or pier rod holder, and spinning reels up to 4000 series size can be mounted on the rod.
