9/3/2026 Upper Pine Creek Fly Fishing and Hatch Report

EDIT 9/6/26 - We missed some of the expected rain and upper Pine is in nice shape again. Anglers have been hitting it all weekend with mixed success.

Water Conditions- Full, Muddy.

Cedar Run USGS Gauge- 9:15AM- 1.66ft (and rising)

Water Temp - high 60's to high 70's

Hatches- Hoppers, ants, beetles, midges, bwo

Other notes-

Heavy thunderstorms pummeled the region last night and Pine Creek is currently very muddy and rising. More rain is expected tonight. Expect challenging conditions going into Labor Day weekend. Pine is full and currently still rising slowly.

The smaller streams in the area are full and range from mostly clear to muddy. These will clean up quicker and should be fishable through the weekend.
